Tomorrow, at 1.00 pm Stockholm time, the winner of this year Nobel Prize in Literature will be announced. As every year, paysages (see here: 1, 2, 3, 4 , 5, 6) tries to forecast the winner, or authors which seem to have good chances to get the Nobel Prize in Literature. Today and yesterday M.A. Orthofer has published a list of potential winners in the Literary Saloon. In this article Orthofer gives us also a little list of blogger speculations concerning the award for Nobel Prize in Literature. The Ladbrokes odds currently (07.10.2015 11:45) puts Svetlana Alexievich (3:1), as a potential winner for the price, followed by Haruki Murakami (6/1) and Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o (6/1) on the third position. My personal favorite for this year Nobel Prize in Literature is Svetlana Alexievich, – followed by Ismail Kadare, Adonis, Péter Nádas and perhaps Peter Handke and Maryse Condé. Also “nobélisable” even if their names are currently on no bedding list, – are Boualem Sansal and Hédi Kaddour. Some weeks ago Pierre Assouline in the republique des livres entitelt the critique of Hédi Kaddour last novel “Les Prépondérants“ “ Hédi Kaddour transporte sa montagne magique à Nahbès (Hedi Kaddour transports his magic mountain to Nahbès) “. Comparing a novel with the legendary Magic Mountain could be seen as promising sign – to see Hedi Kaddour under the potential “nobélisable” – perhaps not for 2015, but certainly in some years Kaddours books will get worldwide attention.
As I wrote it last year, if I would have to choose under these 8 writers, – I would choose Svetlana Alexievich, – in some hours we will know the happy winner of Nobel Prize in Literature 2015, and how precise the paysages forecast for the Nobel Prize in Literature 2015 has really been ….
